LORD, I KNOW THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR ME?
Advent. The shield of faith – Prayer for December 19. The shield of faith also shields us away from arrows that are fired into our lives by the enemies. We’ll use the shield of faith to stand strong in battle. Let us tell God to equip us with the shield of faith.

Bible Verse for Today
“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6:16)

The purpose of the shield of faith is to quench all the fiery darts of the Wicked. You may wonder why is it that I need to catch the fiery darts of the wicked? The reason is that those fiery darts are seeds of unbelief.

The devil sends fiery messages to put fear in our hearts. He knows that fear is the opposite of faith and without faith, no man can please God. So, to get us to displease God, He brings the things that scare us so much that we forget the promises of God for us in his word and we begin to live outside his will.

Jesus is not happy when he sees that you allow fear in you. This is why we must hold the shield of faith and stand firm by the power in the name of Jesus against every arrow that’s been fired by the enemy into our lives. There are so many things we face in life and the enemy uses these things to make us have fear in us.

The challenges we face in life and the bad situation that we Face are like arrows that are being fired. You can’t defend these arrows except if you are holding the shield of faith and you can’t get this shield of faith except if you are in Christ Jesus.

The Shield of Faith Prayer for Today
Heavenly Lord, thank you for all you’ve done in my life, thank you for this morning, thank you because it’s a wonderful day and I know that you will always be there for me. Thank you because you’ve given me the shield of faith. I pray Lord that you teach me how to use it effectively, help me to fight and defend myself against arrows of the Wicked. I know you have done it for me, Lord. Amen.
