Thank you for your message posted above. I appreciated that it was not littered with profanity like some of your earlier replies and those of Michael Flynn, Jr.

Civil and non-profane conversations are always more productive.

I also thank you for the compliment that I am a “smart man.” However, I take no credit for my knowledge, wisdom, and discernment. To the extent that I have all or any of those attributes, I give ALL the praise and glory to God. I am only as “smart” as God created me to be.

In the 45 years I have been a trial lawyer, I did gain a great deal of experience over the last 25 years in the area of defamation law.

So let’s talk a little about “false and defamatory” statements.

A statement is defamatory if it tends to hold another up to public ridicule, scorn, or contempt.

If the defamatory statement is true, no harm occurs and there is no actionable legal claim. TRUTH is revealed, even if it is ugly TRUTH. The public is well-served by learning TRUTH even if the TRUTH hurts. This is especially the case where the TRUTH is of and concerning a public figure.

So the initial inquiry is whether the statement is false.

You claim, Joseph, that I have published or uttered false statements about your brother, Mike Flynn. I deny doing so.

Lease identify each and every statement about your brother, Mike Flynn, which you contend I made and which you contend to be false and defamatory.

Briefly describe the factual basis upon which you rely to assert that each such statement is false.

Doing so will afford me the opportunity of preparing a meaningful response to your undefined claims in your reply message.

If you do not wish to do so, tell Mike Flynn to sue me for defamation. We can resolve the dispute in court AFTER discovery develops a fully factual record.

The choice is that of Mike Flynn or yours if you make decisions for Mike.

I pray you choose wisely and then govern yourself accordingly.
