Zeus On Moriah
In Greek Mythology, Zeus was married to the goddess Hera, and their marriage needed a lot of help. He continually cheated on her, even taking on animal forms to do it. According to the mythology, he became a swan, a bull, and a cuckoo bird. He had issues. The marriage had issues. In reality, Zeus was a projection of Greek men. He was a myth created in the image of a lot of frustrated middle aged Greek men with marriage issues and looking at younger women. Zeus was a god in the image of man. Even in the Lord, believers often make God into their own image, molding the Word of God to their wants and desires, diluting the Word of God into their own image. But our faith is not pagan. You cannot mold or dilute the Word of God to fit your life. As a child of God, you must mold yourself to fit the Word; and the Word will mold you into the image of God. Find the Word today and let it mold your life into His image. Because anything else... is pagan.

Deuteronomy 10:17-19
17 For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Look around you: Everything you see is God’s—the heavens above and beyond, the Earth, and everything on it. But it was your ancestors who God fell in love with; he picked their children—that’s you!—out of all the other peoples. That’s where we are right now. So cut away the thick calluses from your heart and stop being so willfully hardheaded. God, your God, is the God of all gods, he’s the Master of all masters, a God immense and powerful and awesome. He doesn’t play favorites, takes no bribes, makes sure orphans and widows are treated fairly, takes loving care of foreigners by seeing that they get food and clothing.

You must treat foreigners with the same loving care— remember, you were once foreigners in Egypt. Reverently respect God, your God, serve him, hold tight to him, back up your promises with the authority of his name. He’s your praise! He’s your God! He did all these tremendous, these staggering things that you saw with your own eyes.
