A Guide to the Baruchas
Barucha is Hebrew for blessing. The Jewish people have many baruchas or blessings. In Jewish culture, there's a blessing for everything. At a Bar Mitzvah, there's a blessing over the boy, over his parents, over the bread, over the wine, over the washing of hands, and probably over the chopped liver at the reception. If you're born again, you're a child of Abraham in spirit and now able to walk in the blessings of Israel. Learn the blessing of having a blessing for everything; a blessing of thanks, of praise, of appreciation, of joy in and for everything in your life. God promises to work all things out for good in your life for blessing. So everything in your life, no matter how big or small, no matter how good or bad it looks or feels is, in the end, a blessing from God. Learn the blessing of giving thanks and blessing God for everything, no matter what, and you will live a blessed life. That's a guarantee. Thank Him for everything in your life... even the chopped liver.
Today's Mission
Today, speak a blessing over your day and everything in it. Come up with a blessing for every experience you have.
1 Peter 3:9
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Suffering for Doing Good
Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless—that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing.
Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, Here’s what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful; Snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you’re worth. God looks on all this with approval, listening and responding well to what he’s asked; But he turns his back on those who do evil things.
Have a blessed day and week.
May Yeshua Hamashiach the Christ bless you.
Love, Lizzy
The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prevents the government from making laws that regulate an establishment of religion, or that prohibit the free exercise of religion, or abridge the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the freedom of assembly, or the right to petition the government for redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.
