You Don’t Have To Feel It
Friday, December 13, 2024
Secret Alms and Closets
Many believers want to feel the Lord's love all the time. But then what's the point of faith? We shouldn't wait to feel compassion when the Lord says be compassionate. He doesn't tell us to feel holy but to be holy. Thus it's more important to be good than to feel good because true goodness is often most good when it doesn't feel good. Messiah never said you shall feel the truth and the truth make you free; He said you shall know the truth. Feelings are nothing more than feelings, but God is real. So a real walk of a true disciple must never rest on feelings, but on the truth. If you're feeling far from God, that's ok. It doesn't mean you're far away. And if you're feeling as if God doesn't love you, that's ok too, because it's nothing more than feelings. God loves you, and His word is true. So be good, be holy, be righteous, be compassionate, and be loving...whether you feel like it or whether you don't. Be good for the Lord is real and good.

Today's Mission
Today, choose righteousness over feelings. Be good, compassionate, holy, and loving...whether you feel like it or whether you don't.

Psalm 100:5
King James Version
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY AND WEEKEND!!

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prevents the government from making laws that regulate an establishment of religion, or that prohibit the free exercise of religion, or abridge the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the freedom of assembly, or the right to petition the government for redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.
